Sacha Moti

It is said that when Amar Shahid Bhagat Kanwar Ram Sahib sang Raga Sarang which is the Raga of rain, clouds gathered and it rained heavily. Many people who suffered from different deadly diseases got cured by his blessings. He would pray for people to get their wishes fulfilled by singing Ardas sahib and Palavs for them. Bhagat Kanwar Ram Sahib had magic in his voice; he had a marvelous voice which was audible even at a long distance in the silence of dawn. He held people spellbound for hours together during that period of time there was no microphone and loud speakers.

Saint Satram Das Sahib transmitted his spiritual power to Bhagat Kanwar Ram Sahib. Bhagat Kanwarram Sahib always helped his father and at the same time he would sell boiled grams in the streets. Bhagat Sahib's mother would give him some pots of boiled gram and in exchange of those gram pots, he would get equal number of pots of corn. Once Sai Satramdas Sahib went to Jarwar, (village in Pakistan) the birth place of Bhagat Sahib for Bhajans and Kirtans and he noticed Bhagat Kanwar who was very small about 9 yrs of age and asked him "How much the grams which Bhagat Kanwar was selling costed" and Bhagat Sahib replied that he will not charge anything for the grams which Saint Satramdas Sahib will take and he told Saint Satramdas Sahib that if you want to give me something in exchange of these grams then bless me and accept me at your feet. On hearing this Saint Satramdas Sahib hugged Kanwarram and blessed him. This was the first meeting of Bhagat Sahib with his Guruji Saint Satramdas Sahib. Bhagat Sahib always went from place to place to spread he name of his Guruji and he always sang in the praise of his master through the songs of Mira, Lord Krishna, Kabir and Shah Latif. Bhagat Sahib was not only a spiritual divine singer but also a great spiritual Saint. He was a torchbearer of the teachings of his Guruji Saint Satramdas Sahib. Once when Mahatma Gandhi came for a meeting in Sukkur there were thousands of people to see him and there was a lot of noise, so it was difficult for Mahatma Gandhiji to speak and then somebody requested Bhagat Sahib to do something and Bhagat Sahib got up and started a beautiful Aalap in his magnificent voice and everyone kept quiet and there was pin drop silence and then Mahatma Gandhiji gave his speech.

Late Mr. Khemchand Jethwani was a staunch devotee of Kanwarram Sahib. When Kanwarram Sahib was shot dead by some unfortunate people. Late Mr. Khemchand Jethwani was away in Ceylon and on hearing the news of his Guruji's death he immediately came to Raherki Sahib. But unfortunately Kanwarram Sahib's last funeral rites were over and Late Shri Khemchand Jethwani fell sick and doctors said that he had got a terrific shock due to which hewas not responding to the treatment then someone suggested that some things belonging to Saint Kanwarram Sahib should be kept on his chest and immediately Bhagat Sahib's blood stained dress and shoes were kept on Late Shri Jethwani's chest and suddenly there was a miracle with Sai's grace Late Shri Jethwani got up and became alright. Bhagat Sahib used to write letters regularly to late Shri Jethwani in Gurmukhi. May God Bless Mrs. & Mr. Radhakishen Jethwani son and daughter-in-law of late Mr. Khemchand Jethwani, who have respectfully preserved the memorable handwritten letters of Amar Shahid Bhagat Kanwarram Sahib.
